HIPerSpace (Kuester Lab)
General Information
The HIPerSpace OptIPortal is deployed on the second floor of Atkinson Hall. Currently the largest of the OptIPortals, capable of rendering very large data sets.Configuration
5x10 OptIPortal. Hardware: Dell XPS-710 with dual nVidia 5600 graphics cards per node, driving multiple Dell 30-inch displays per node. Software: Rocks 5 x86_64, Viz and Hiper(CGLX).

The Jain Wall is located at UCI in Professor Jain's Laboratory in the Calit2 Building at UCI. It is used for a variety of OptIPortal uses, including enhanced image handling and streaming.

Cluster Nodes: Dell Precision 390, Core2Duo 2.40GHz, 4GB RAM, 250GB SATA 3.0 Gb/s disks (500GB for the head-node) with nVidia 8600 GTS cards (installed sep.), six nodes will drive 2 Dell 2405 FWP 24-inch LCDs, this is two twin-view columns (12 tiles), the last column will require three nodes driving 1 Dell 2405 FWP 24-inch display each. Front-end Node: identical to the Cluster Nodes but using a 500GB disk. Software: Rocks 5 x86_64, Viz and Hiper(CGLX).
